We love summer because there’s so much to do in this season! Exercise in summer is fun too and there’s much more daylight during the summer. We can spend time outside longer as compared to during the winter! This summer is your time to do the things you love or to try new activities you’ve always wanted to do. Below are some fun and free exercise ideas in summer we thought you’d might like:
If you’ve never jumped into the pool for a swim, this is the best time to do it! There are free swimming lessons around and all you have to do is sign up for one! Swimming is more fun when you have your friends and family with you. With them around you’ll be much more motivated too!
What better way to spend time with your family than a family outing? Go to a local park and have a picnic, but be sure to check out its opening hours as most parks open much later in the summer than the winter. While there’s still light outside, enjoy as much as you can! Plan what you want to bring too such as healthy snacks, water bottles, sunscreen and whatever that’s necessary. Another great location where you can organise your family outing is in your home compound. You don’t have to worry so much about time constraint.
Hiking with Friends

In fact it increases your energy level. If you’ve never hiked before, it can be quite challenging at the beginning, but as you progress, it’ll be a lot easier and more fun especially with your friends joining you. Not only does hiking increase your endurance, it also improves your alertness and bone density. You can’t possibly feel depressed or alone when hiking as you are surrounded by nature and fed with calming view of serenity. Hiking elevates your mood.
Walking Around Your Neighbourhood
You don’t have to go far to enjoy a quality walk. Walk out of your house and enjoy a morning stroll before work for a great start to a busy day, or you can walk in the evening – a great way to end a hectic day. Walk in the weekend too. You’ve got more time if you don’t have to be at work on a Saturday.
This is a great outdoor activity for families as it can be enjoyed in groups. Learning how to blade with your family is somehow similar to learning how to walk for the first time. Not only do you learn about keeping your balance, you’ll also realise that activities like this keeps your life balanced. It’s also a fun workout.
