Ready to kick some ass this year? Martial arts are one of the best ways to help you stay fit always. Action movies like The Matrix, DOA, or Chinese Kung Fu movies must have motivated you sometime in your life. We were once kids and even super heroes like Batman and Spiderman made us feel like taking self-defense lessons. Your super power is your strength. Whether you’re into Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Capoeira or Karate, there’s always one that will make you feel like a badass.
You can lose weight with Martial arts. Below is a list of some of the world’s most popular martial arts that are great for the body:
- Martial arts like Kung Fu and Taekwondo involved a lot of movement such as jumping, kicking, flipping and many more. It is basically a great cardio workout!
- Karate is another great martial art that focuses more on the upper body. Whenever you strike, you work out your core muscles – that give you power. Not only does it help you build strength, it also helps you burn fat.
- Muay Thai is awesome. Take a look at Thai fighters and how they move in the ring. This self-defense is all about power, speed and motion. After a few minutes, they’re already grasping for air! Of course, with all the punching, kicking and wrestling, who wouldn’t?
- Capoeira is probably the most active martial art, simply because you’re doing two things at a time: dancing and fighting. What a cool combination! Capoiera includes kicking, slapping, sweeping, punching, knee and elbow striking, acrobatics and takedowns.
