Weight Loss: Sara Hurley

Transformation Update: 15th August 2021

This week, we celebrate the successful weight loss of Sara Hurley. Here’s her story:

In March of 2020, I had Gastric Sleeve surgery and my experience with WLSA has been fantastic, the team are so helpful and supportive. Since joining the #WeightLossWarrior community, I’ve been able to reach out in times of need, have my concerns answered right away, and most importantly share my joining and success with like-minded individuals in our private Facebook group.

This journey has been life-changing and I’m grateful to be able to share that with you. One of my favourite victories is all the things I can do with my daughter now like a backflip on the trampoline at the local show, and walking a bush track that used to give me panic attacks.

Once upon a time, I felt embarrassed, uncomfortable, and sad. Although I tried as I might, I was unable to lose the weight on my own. I wanted to be a better mum, healthier for my family, and reduce the fat around my liver. That’s when I made the decision to have weight loss surgery.

Trust the process and remember that your lowest weight may not be your healthiest weight, try not to focus on numbers, the goal is to live a healthier life. For me, I’m healthier, happier and more comfortable within myself – heaviest weight at 107kg, lowest at 57 kg, and currently sitting at 65kg!

Sara Hurley

Transformation Update: 20th January 2021

This week, we celebrate the successful weight loss of Sara Hurley. Here’s her story:

Warrior Sara Hurley’s NYE Goals vs NYE Reality

2020 was a year with some pretty mixed emotions, for me personally some massive changes for the better – how good is it not having the “I need to lose weight this year” looming in the shadows – for the world, in general, a pretty tough time. I hope whatever stage you’re at, that in 2021 we all remember the good times, the laughs, the joys, the achievements, regardless of how small.

Let’s celebrate each success and try to focus on the positive.

#WeightLossWarrior,
Sara Hurley

Message from WLSA:
Dear Sara, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on New Year’s Eve and I love reading the fact that you’re not going into the new year 2021 with “I need to lose weight this year”. Such simple yet very powerful thoughts! We’ve enjoyed seeing your 7 Day Walking Challenge posts, you’re a true warrior!

Transformation Update: 2nd December 2020

This week, we celebrate the successful weight loss of Sara Hurley. Here’s her story:

I am currently 8 months post op. Where has the time gone? It’s amazing how much life has changed.

Sadly, I didn’t buy these gorgeous swimmers but the picture of me and my bub came up in my fb memories so thought I better compare!

Some of my non-scale victories are walking for hours around Byron Bay with some amazing ladies without my thighs chafing or getting out of breath, assisting the Aus swim instructors at swim school for the primary school without being worried about my shorts riding up or being made fun of, buying a pair of vintage Calvin Klein shorts in a size 8!

Hope you’re all having a fabulous week.

#WeightLossWarrior,
Sara Hurley

Message from WLSA:
Congrats on your incredible 8 months weight loss transformation, Sara! We love your non-scale victories and cannot wait to hear more victories from you soon as you enjoy the festive celebrations and summer season ahead with new confidence and energy.

This week, we celebrate the successful WeightLoss of Sara Hurley
Here’s her story:

It’s our wedding anniversary on Thursday and all I really wanted was some nice pictures. Since we were both quite overweight (and somewhat pregnant) at our wedding, I asked if we could do a wedding photoshoot. My hubby agreed!!

A girlfriend lent me this stunning dress. I can’t believe it’s me in it! (See the before pic for comparison) This was the first time in my entire adult life that I’ve been piggybacked.

I was sleeved on 26th March 2020. Here are my stats:
Heaviest weight 107kg
Surgery weight 99.8kg
Current weight 67kg
Height: 163cm

BMI started at 37 and is now 25!

My goal weight is around 65kgs.

My amazing husband lost weight too, just through being the biggest support on my journey.
