This week, we celebrate the successful Weight Loss of Daniel White. Here’s his story:

Meet Daniel White. Daniel is a truck driver, husband and father of 4 kids aged 3,5,13 and 16. His starting weight before weight loss surgery was 186kgs. Following his decision to undergo sleeve gastrectomy with WLSA he is now down to 122kgs at 6 months post surgery. That’s a whopping 64 kilos of weight loss in 6 months! The GP asked him to lose 10kgs before providing a referral and the rest has been since surgery.

The changes in just 6 month are phenomenal.

Dan has more energy than ever before. Working life is so much easier because he is not tired all the time. His hobby is to restore old cars and he now indulges this passion by getting up at 6am on weekends to work on a car instead of staying in bed as he would have done previously. The motivation for surgery came from his family. He is now getting involved actively in his kids lives; can go to theme parks; and enjoy BMX bike riding with his son. (He has bought himself a mountain bike so he can be a part of this).

Dan enjoys playing guitar and is now happy to share his love of music with people around him instead of hiding in the shadows previously. Social life is so much better now. His relationship with his wife has a whole new lease on life and has taken on a whole new meaning. His motivation to get actively involved in all areas of life has drastically changed in just 6 months.

His eating behavior has changed not only due to less volume but he  also naturally chooses healthy food options. Before surgery Dan would never have touched avocado on toast and now loves it. Fruit was not really something he enjoyed and now he does.

Seeing him in the clinic today and hearing so many wonderful changes in such a short space of time has impressed us all at WLSA. We are incredibly proud to share such an awesome story and can’t wait for the follow up in another 6 months.
