This week, we celebrate the successful Weight Loss of Kylie O’Neill. Here’s her story:

Kylie O’Neil had the sleeve gastrectomy on 15th December, 2015, at the age of 43.

She has lost 44kgs* since her surgery and has experienced countless life changing experiences.

From a health perspective she was told by her GP that she would be on blood pressure medication for the rest of her life. At two months after her sleeve gastrectomy she was already no longer needing any blood pressure medication.

As a chronic asthmatic before surgery Kylie would need her asthma pump by her side 24/7. She now hardly uses her asthma at all; not even once per week. Her hayfever has also disappeared for good.

Whilst she has always been an active person she was always too embarrassed to really display her real personality. She now has so much self confidence she is now living life as the person she always knew she was on the inside; she no longer lacks confidence to dance be silly with her kids. She has truly come out of her shell and her personality just shines through every day.

Before surgery she felt she couldn’t plan for her future. She did not have the confidence to work and now loves the fact that she has a job! Kylie feels validated, rewarded and has a new found sense of self esteem gained through working. It’s funny how people after surgery so often DO improve their financial health and well being as well as general health and well being. Her energy is limitless!

If she could; Kylie says she would tell everyone who needs bariatric surgery to just do it! The changes she has experienced and her happiness makes the sleeve gastrectomy the best decision she has ever made.
